AFAFRICA Airmen solidify bond with Senegalese air force

Air Force Rolls out Coaching Culture Facilitator Course Pilot for Mid-level Leaders
GS-11 supervisors with 10 years time-in-service along with O-3s and E-7s with two years time-in-grade, can now apply for the online Air Force Coaching Culture Facilitator Course Pilot scheduled to begin in April 2021.
Force development information now accessible through the Air Force Portal

Force Development Summit focuses on developing Airmen in contested environment
Active duty, guard, reserve and civilian Airmen representing every major command joined stakeholders from Headquarters Air Force, the U.S. Air Force Academy, Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability and the Air National Guard, to highlight initiatives emphasizing how the service has and can develop the Airmen we need in a contested environment.

AFSEC full speed ahead with virtual return to teaching
With in-resident courses cancelled, the Safety Center needed to implement some changes to the courseware and the platform used to facilitate Air Force safety training needs as quickly as possible. Accepting the challenges head on, the Training & Force Development Division adapted and overcame the issues and constraints imposed by new platforms to accommodate students and make it work.

Developmental Special Experiences, or DSEs, are competency-based learning activities outside the scope of formal training that have been validated as a potential means to obtain specific foundational, occupational, or joint competencies.

On April 1, the Department of the Air Force launched The Leaders and Supervisors We Need, a year-long development campaign designed to improve the efficiency and accessibility of supervisory training and resources for all leaders, ranging from first-time supervisors to experienced senior management officials.

AETC Learning Wi-Fi Service begins roll out across command
In an effort to expand learning opportunities for Airmen and enable training and education from any device, Air Education and Training Command has begun the Learning Wi-Fi Service project to install commercial wireless internet across the command’s installations.
Civilian Developmental Education, Civilian Strategic Leader Program application window to open Jan. 13
Eligible Air Force civilians will use MyVECTOR to apply for Civilian Developmental Education for the 2021 academic year; and Civilian Strategic Leader and the Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program assignments for the 2021 fiscal year.
Advance Force Development: Forging a new mindset through occupational competencies
The effort falls under the “Advance Force Development” priority area in the latest Headquarters AETC mission, vision and priorities outline.
AETC to host Developmental Special Experiences webcasts Oct. 3
The Air Education and Training Command Developmental Special Experiences Branch is scheduled to host two webcasts Oct. 3. The first webcast is available at 8:30 a.m. CDT (9:30 a.m. EDT), with the second webcast at 4:30 p.m. CDT (5:30 p.m. EDT). Thousands can join the webcast on the AFPC Facebook Live. Additionally, 250 people can connect on the Defense Collaboration Services.
AETC welcomes new commander
Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein presided over the ceremony and emphasized the importance of the AETC mission and he commended members of the command for their efforts. He listed Pilot Training Next, force development, a campaign of learning, squadron commander school and the overhaul of the officer and enlisted promotion systems as “future game changers for our Air Force and joint teams.”
