  • Mission complete: 53rd WEG concludes first post-hurricane Combat Archer

    F-22 Raptors from the 27th Fighter Squadron and F-35 Lightning IIs from the 58th Fighter Squadron successfully flew more than 140 sorties and fired 13 missiles to culminate the first post-Hurricane Michael Combat Archer air-to-air exercise at Eglin Air Force Base Dec. 14.

  • Texas, Washington Air National Guard participate in Brazilian-led international exercise

    Brazil held its multinational air combat exercise CRUZEX VII Nov. 18-30, with participation from the U.S. and six other partner nations. Guardsmen from the Texas and Washington Air National Guard joined the two-week long exercise and lent support by providing fighter and tanker aircraft as well as personnel from multiple Air Force job specialties.

  • Arctic Anvil executes multi-domain operations on a large-scale

    Arctic Anvil is a joint, multi-national, force-on-force training exercise that included live, virtual and constructive elements. The purpose of the training was to prepare the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team for their rotation at the Army’s National Training Center in California early next year. NTC conducts tough and realistic unified land operations to prepare brigade combat teams and other units for combat.

    Two U.S. Airmen deployed to Starokostiantyniv Air Base for the Clear Sky 2018 exercise came to the aid of several Ukrainians following a violent car crash Oct. 13, in downtown Khmelnytskyi, about 45 minutes from the air base.
  • Combat Support Wing exercise showcases agile lethality

    More than 150 Airmen from seven major commands participated in a combat support wing proof-of-concept exercise Sept. 5 to 19 that tested a small team’s capability to conduct agile downrange operations. The exercise, conducted at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, with forward deployments to Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, and Avon Park Air Force Range, Florida, served to validate an innovative way to deliver airpower lethality more effectively and efficiently anywhere in the world.
  • McChord AFB represents USAF in Ample Strike, NATO Days
