COMUSAFE hosts Arctic Air Chiefs Symposium
The conference hosted senior defense representatives from seven of the eight Arctic nations, including Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and the U.S. to discuss a variety of Arctic-focused campaigns and initiatives.
Operation Allies Refuge: Ramstein AB transforms into major evac hub
Following the rapid deterioration of security in Afghanistan, the first of many aircraft carrying U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants and other vulnerable Afghans landed at the installation Aug. 20 as part of Operation Allies Refuge. Since then, Ramstein AB has received more than 11,000 evacuees as they await transportation to their final destination. More than 2,500 people have already departed Ramstein AB for the United States.
86th MXG: Expanding aeromedical evacuation capabilities
The 86th Maintenance Group leads the charge for the C-130 Hercules community in procuring ion distribution units to ensure the safety of aircrews, passengers and Airmen working in and around the aircraft.
USAFE-AFAFRICA builds partnership with Malawian air force
Since 2018, the USAFE-AFAFRICA Manpower, Personnel and Services Directorate, Force Development team, has been coming to Malawi to partner with the Malawian air force to provide them with tools to build, sustain and stand up an independent air force.

ENJJPT molds international guardians of freedom
Since 1981, the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program has played a significant role in NATO-wide pilot production. Comprised of 14 signatory nations, 13 of which are currently participating, it is one of four undergraduate pilot training programs in the Air Force.

Goldfein’s 10-day trip across northern Europe focuses on partners and ‘great power’ realities
But there also was an unmistakable subtext connecting the stops in Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Germany and Greenland. The thread was this: each country has valuable experience and insights for operating effectively in an age of great power competition. That reality can help the United States and its allies fine-tune strategies for deterring – and if necessary, defeating – Russia and China.
815th Airlift Squadron delivers during Swift Response '19
For exercise Swift Response '19, military members across two continents work as a team to conduct training to increase the participating nations’ readiness, capabilities and capacity to conduct full-spectrum military operations. They use combined training which fosters trust, increases interoperability and enables allies to readily and effectively respond to regional crises and meet their own national defense goals.
