    Air Force officials announced, March 25, a trainee in the Air Force’s basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland has tested positive for COVID-19.

    During the ROM, trainees will prepare for full-scale training and complete administrative tasks and limited training objectives, while operating within the parameters of social distancing and small-group contact. Currently, there are no COVID-19 cases in BMT.

    Air Force basic military training, technical training and flying training has been deemed mission essential and will continue operations with mitigation, Air Education and Training Command announced March 17, 2020.
  • BMT graduation parade canceled

    The 37th Training Wing canceled the Air Force Basic Military Training graduation parade scheduled for March 13 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland’s parade grounds out of concern for the safety of the newly accessioned Airmen and their family members due to the coronavirus.
  • JB San Antonio-Lackland training annex dedicated to fallen Air Force Medal of Honor recipient

    Previously known as the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Training Annex, it was renamed in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Master Sgt. John A. Chapman, an Air Force combat controller who gave his life fighting in Afghanistan in 2002.

  • I-WEPTAC 2020 registration opens

Hosted by AFCEC’s Environmental Management Directorate, a primary subordinate unit of the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, the workshop focused on enabling the Air Force environmental mission of building resilient installations through environmental stewardship.
